The Lord Jesus Christ cares for you
First Steps in Faith
1 - Join a church
When we receive salvation, God blesses us with a spiritual family.
In the church, you will find your spiritual family, the people who put their trust in God and are growing as you. In the church, you will sing, read and study the Bible together with the other;
2 - Be Baptized
The Bible teaches us to do many things when we accept Jesus as our Savior.
One of the most important things is to be baptized. Baptism is a simple act and spiritual obedience. It represents and attests, publicly, our new life in Christ;
3 - Begin to Memorize the Scriptures
The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
He also says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
The more you know the Scriptures, the stronger faith you will have. Psalm 119:9-13;
4 - Discipleship
If you want to be useful in the kingdom of God, you must become a disciplined learner.
The Bible calls this person as a disciple of Christ. Find a friend, pastor or member of the family that can help you to grow in your faith. Mathew 28:19-20
Only Jesus can give you Eternal Life
Every man has in himself a deep will for eternal life. In all the places we see this search. Science and Medicine are looking for ways to extend the life. Many people surround you with Utopian ideas or live in an imaginary world of movies, books and dreams. Everyone is afraid of death. When one thinks about it, there is a fearful question: "what's next?"
The man wants to live, to live forever, he is afraid of dying. Constantly he also confronts the important question: "Why Do I live? "God created man for eternal life. But he rejected and threw it out. Man chose to sin which has brought him to death. This brought death on every creature and human misery began. Since then the man is looking for rediscovering the eternal life. He has searched a lot and has created numerous things to get life for himself; This can be seen in many religions. But, he has no life, he never has security.
Once an artist has built a giant machine. When it was working, it was very noisy and clunky many gears. But it had a disadvantage: not producing anything. The artist wanted to say something about it. He had made a representation of our time and of humanity. There is too much movement, too much indeed! In every corner there is noise, activity and bustle - but, without any purpose, without direction, without reason and without permanent fruits.
God, however, did everything to give us back to life, the true and eternal life.
In this world dominated by death, He sent His only Son, who is Life itself and of whom it is written: "we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding to recognize the true; and we are in the true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life" (1 John 5.20). Only in Him that our life becomes meaningful. In Him alone we have what is true, what our soul longs for. AND only through Him we receive the life that goes beyond the few years here on earth: the eternal life!
Jesus says: "I give them eternal life; never perish for ever, and no one will ever take them out of my hand" (John 10.28). Or in John 11.25-26: "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he dies, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die, forever. Believest thou this?"
So, what matters is that we believe. No matter, in the first place, to understand, to understand logically, you cannot define or explain the purpose of God. No, Jesus simply asks the question: "Believest thou this?" All the rest will come later.
A person counted once: "When passing through a graveyard when young, my eyes landed on one of inscriptions. The name was almost erased. But the enrollment of years was still legible: 1889-1931. AND then suddenly I realized: the little dash between numbers meant a whole human life. Only a dash! Our life is not more than that! A dash between two numbers - so little! Then I knew that we have a responsibility - a huge responsibility to do something meaningful about that simple trace ... Then I gave my life to Jesus, the Savior, and I decided to put this poor and small life to His service ... " what do you do the "dash" of your life? Jesus asks you: "Believest thou this?"
